| I also thought Lennon should have taken on the full back more. He did it ince and destroyed him but then didn't try again. Glen Johnson was decent and Gerrard looked very good. As for the rest ...... let's say it was the first game and they're building up. |

| if i was managing england id be picking the team around what style suits wayne rooney. now, man united have been playing 4-3-3 wingers with rooney centre forward with valencia/nani or giggs supplying ammunition all season. why oh why dont we drop heskey, play joe cole and lennon in the wings, barry sitting in the hole at anchorman like tonight and then gerrard and lampard can drive forward. how fucking hard is it? you pick a team based on your best player and how his club plays....surely? or is that too fucking obvious? |

| exactly the same as my line-up phil barring joe hart. i would still prefer the 40 year old James at the moment, he looked quite solid tonight aswell. probably the only good thing about the game was him and gareth barry. says it all. |

Shawn Wright Philips for Aaron Lennon...... there has to be questions asked there.
Gerrard on the left.. did he make one cross? |

| he did sweet FA on the left. capello has to ditch 4-4-2, we just looked to wooden out their, no flexibility or cohesion whatsoever. play cole and lennon on the wings, rooney on his own, barry in the middle with gerrard and lampard license to support the attack with rooney. its not rocket science. |

| A few points.
1. Tell the team who is playing more than 2 hours before kick off. This would breed confidence instead of fear. The players would be better mentally prepared instead of looking like rabbits in headlights.
2. Players playing in the correct positions. I mean seriously its not rocket science. Gerrard hasn't played well on the left in like ever. Joe Cole has to start the next game in a 451/433 system.
3. Leaving Theo at home now looks like a massive mistake. Not to start but as an impact sub would of been perfect. I don't think any defence would relish facing him for the last 20 mins of a game especially having played for 70 at altitude.
4. At least we still have a chance to put this right. All is not lost. We had exactly the same start in 1990 and that didn't turn out too badly did it!
5. Carragher is suspended for the last match. Clouds and silver linings........... |

| carragher flaps a lot at the back for a defender of his experience. i thought he was going to score an own goal at one point and all i ever see him doing is flaying his arms like he's the angel of the north or something! |

| carragher has been past it for about 2 seasons now, theo should be there, infact, i bet we could pick an england team thats not even gone to the world cup that would beat algeria foster baines jagielka lescott p.neville (was struggling for a rb) adam johnson parker huddlestone walcott bent agbonlahor maybe not as good as our 1st 11, but they might have looked intrested out there and showed some passion |

| Sub in Brown for P.Nev, Hargreaves for Huddlestone and that would do well! |
