Don’t think so - lots of loan players returned between my clubs - thought it just rolled over if you were the manager of both?

Unfortunately not, only rolls over IF less then 4 weeks.

i thought they only rolled over if the player was under 24 years old

"Loans will terminate at the end of the season at the end of week 22,
 as long as the player on loan has been at the loan club for at least 4 weeks,
 loans which have yet to complete 4 weeks will carry over to the following season."

RULES applying to the usage of Feeder clubs.
1) One Feeder Club per Parent. This may change in the future.
2) You can only change Feeder clubs at the end of the season in weeks 22,23 or 24.
3) You may swap upto 10 players from your old feeder to your new feeder.
4) You may take your old feeder club balance with you to your new feeder club.
5) Feeder clubs cannot play in the same division as their Parent clubs.
6) Loans last until the EOS in which the player turns 24.
7) ENDLOAN can also be used to terminate the loan. 
 Any player sales from feeder to parent must be at tribunal values at minimum.
9) Any player sales from parent to feeder are free transfers.
10) Player eligibility rules still apply to all players.

International Friendly match reports, results and income was not saved to the appropriate system files this week, not sure why, nothing obvious but I will check it out when I get time next week.

Player stats were also not saved and because of the end of season reset it's no longer possible to record all the missing data, apologies for this. But I will credit the missing income to relevant parent clubs.
