This was an exciting topsy turvy title chase this season in which no one team managed to dominate and most Santos fans thought it was all over in week 20 when they lost by four goals in Vasco but ultimately they made it first past the post by the narrowest of margins, so congrats to Santos. Congrats to Geoff and Santos, patience has been the key here as he has persisted with youngsters for the last few seasons and it has finally come good for him. Well deserved over the 22 games. Heart-breaking to lose it on the final day but if you need a point to get over the line, playing away to a team that has amassed 30 points out of 33 at home over the season is the worst possible fixture to ask for!! Fluminense fans go home licking their wounds after the last day drama and three lost cup finals. Tough to take but when the dust settles and we look back at least we got there, progress from last season, at least we were in the mix. Questions starting to be asked about the manager, is he is serial runner up, can he make the necessary adjustments to win a trophy next year? With the arrival of Neymar it seems unlikely at the minute..... Thoroughly enjoyable season in a highly competitive league. |

| Mightily close but Emelec make it over the line in Ecuador...
Emelec 56 +52 ElNacional 56 +37 Fuerza 51 +30 Barselona 50 +36 reality manager
Neither of the top two could find the killer goal at home this week so we stayed as we were which meant Emelec fans were celebrating loudest with their eighth title trophy and the first under the new boss, congrats to Emelec...

| Derry City narrowly win their first ever League title to add to the Cup they won a few days ago...
Eire
Derry City 50 +40 Shamrock 50 +21 Cherry 49 +40 Shelbourne 41 +13
It has been a steady improvement since their current boss tookover four seasons ago with the team finishing 9th 5th 2nd and now first to complete a League and Cup double for the first time in the club's short history. Fans will be hoping it continues, so congrats to Derry... |

Botafogo were made to pay with there early season blunders last year, something the manager has taken key learning from. Also, the manager didn't quite have a the missing piece to his jigsaw as the season progressed, trying 3 different players/styles of DY before landing the veteran Fernandinho who seemed to turn the clubs fortunes around! The manager has added strength in depth to the squad with the likes of Leonardo at the back, Renatiho added to give a rotation option at LH, Galhardo and Damiao also available as attacking options should players need to be rested/rotated to protect from injuries. Neymar didn't manage to get on the score sheet this week, but no doubt he played a key part in turning the game round! Positive signs for Botafogo who will look to reclaim there Title! Congrats, to Geoff! |

The manager had struggled throughout the season to find a way to counter SLO that wasn't using CAT. Which seems to have worked this week so interesting option to be able to call on throughout the season. The manager certainly tempted fate with all the additional changes to try and get a new look and feel to his side! With changes still on the cards... However, the manager is certainly looking to add a 4th Title!! It looks like Man City have been rejuvenated, so the manager will have to keep a close eye on them as with Charlton who certainly looked to be enjoying there swap to PEP. Well played everyone, the pressure certainly helped motivate the players and manager to do better this season! |

| Inter Milan lift the Scudetto and bring back memories of past glory...
Serie A
Inter Milan 53 +23 AC Milan 50 +33 Juventus 48 +32 Cagliari 43 +21 Napoli 42 +30 Lazio 39 +20
A home win over Milan back in week seven coupled to a draw with their closest rivals in week sixteen were the main reasons Inter sit proudly back on top of Serie A, its the bosses second title win in four seasons although he did graciously accredit the previous boss with the clubs title success back in season 28 this one was all his, and a Cup and League double to boot, so congrats to Inter... |

| Celtic regain their Scottish title for the fourth win in the last five seasons...
Scotland
Celtic 46 +25 Hibs 45 +18 Motherwell 43 +13 Aberdeen 41 +8 Falkirk 37 +7 Inverness 36 +5
When the current boss tookover at Celtic they were languishing down in the first division but he has transformed them into serial title winners as they lift their fourth title in the last five seasons, phenomenal even in Scotland, so congrats to Celtic... |

| Amazing finish in Sweden ends with the top three all on equal points...
Sweden
Stockholm 58 +70 Gothenburg 58 +63 Djurgardens 58 +51 Malmo 49 +24
Had the reigning Champions Malmo managed to have a better last six games of the season it may have been different, but failure to beat any of the three teams above them, following injury to their star winger Magnus Eriksson, meant the top three got out of reach. The Stockholm boss correctly identified last week's draw at Malmo as the crucial match and the point they secured kept their noses in front, so congrats to Stockholm... |

| Nacional have completed a sensational achievement in which they went through a complete season without conceding a league goal, something you dont see very often and may never see again...
Uruguay
Nacional 66 +72 scored 72 conceded zero zilch nada Penarol 51 +31 Danubio 49 +34 Defensor 48 +60
The three chasing managers, all very capable at their job, need to do some catching up, congrats to Nacional... |

USA
Chicago 55 +59 Cosmos 53 +42 Kansas 47 +33 Tampa 45 +22 Harrisburg 43 +28 NewYork 41 +15
An especially fine achievement by Chicago as competition in this league gets tougher each year, so congrats to Chicago... |

Pretty sure my stamina was the issue as had a few players on good/fair Werner… he’s only touched the ball about 3 times in 5 matches lol |
