On a brighter note lots of good English performances. Very positive even in defeat.

Yeah thought most of the team played well, but 16 shots and only 5 on target speaks volumes really.

Great to see Danny on target and even I have to admit it was a nice cross from Rooney for our goal, but I'm still not convinced by him out on the right wing like that.

Thought Welbeck was much better than I'd ever seen him previous, gotta review him for sure. Sterling was great and so too was Henderson, very impressed with those three.

The defence played okay esp Baines I thought, but Joe could have done better with both the Italian goals, bit disappointed with him.

Just need to beat Uruquay and Costa Rica now, easy
