Bordeaux 3 Etienne 3
Auxerre 2 Toulouse 1
Paris 2 Nantes 1
Cannes 1 Lyon 2
Lens 3 Monaco 4
some very close games in France this week leaves the table looking like this...
Paris 38 +18
Nantes 34 +14
Etienne 29 +7
Lyon 29 +7
Lille 27 +0
only four points in the title race atm and Paris now have to endure the pressure that comes from top of the league with everybody wanting to beat them.

| Juventus 4 Cagliari 2
Sampdoria 1 Parma 0
Lazio 3 Atalanta 0
Napoli 2 Fiorentina 1
Roma 1 Ancona 2
Inter 4 AC 2
so Inter stay top with Ancona hanging onto their coat tails just...
Inter 39 +18
Ancona 33 +4
AC Milan 29 +12
Napoli, Sampdoria, Roma, Cagliari 25
Lazio, Juventus 24
so Ancona trail by six points with Inter still having to play four away games against Roma, Napoli, Cagliari and Ancona themselves and one home game against Napoli. the week 20 game at Ancona will prove to be pivotal im sure, looking forward already to that one. |

| the result of the week
Real Madrid 6 Deportivo 0
Barcelona 2 Real Betis 1
Valencia 4 Espanol 3
Sociedad 4 Atletico 0
Celta 3 Villareal 0
Sevilla 0 Bilbao 1
so the top two continue as they were
Barcelona 46 +32
Real Madrid 44 +35
Valencia 34 +13
Real seem to have three tough games left against Real Betis and twice against Valencia, whilst Barca have easier games with just one against Valencia that looks tough, so real still have it all to do really, and its Barca's to lose maybe. |

| Phil, I wouldnt get too downhearted it's only ur first defeat in god knows how long lol
I know I'm in no position to comment cos iv now lost two in the spin but u would suggest if ur still playing FLY away from home that ur too open.
As the scoreline suggests - and I think I'm right in thinking alot of ur away games do produce a lot of goals
Maybe a tactic or a tweak that reins them in a little whilst in the road
Obviously I need to do some thinking of my own lol
Well done rich - great away day win, looks like my Fulham side have gone as far as they can this year
Back to the drawing board for a tactical inquest

Personally disappointed with this. Fair enough, you've had a bad result and you want to know why, but surely being the manager is what that is all about. It is up to you to figure out why things went wrong, not Paul. |

couple of surprises there although plymouth did play a weak side and Birmingham seem to have found some form at last with Aguero getting their winner. |

Totally agree with Tom. I think if there are trends developing that it's ok to ask Paul to look into the trend. I agree that we should not have Paul conduct an inquest into every dropped point. Leicester are having a nightmare at the moment and it's up to me to try to correct. Not to just ask Paul what I should do. real the rules, understand the quirks of the game, and make a judgement call. Paul has put enough info on the various threads over the last 6-8 weeks for the individual result analysis to stop. |

big win for Bayern this week and looks like they may have to repeat it with 3 of the 4 top sides still involved. |

Toulouse 2 Auxerre 3

Paris 4 Lens 1
2 more goals for Neymar see Nantes through to the semis where they could face Paris or Lille but will be hoping for Auxerre I expect. |

So close yet so far for Feyenoord against PSV maybe next year ? |

Napoli 4 AC Milan 4 aet pens3-4

Sampdoria 2 Parma 2 aet pens2-3
some very close games there with Sampdoria unlucky to go out on pens leaving Inter hoping to avoid AC again. |

Valencia 0 Barcelona 2
Villareal 0 Real 3
Sevilla 2 Osasuna 1
so Barca still on course for the "double" and Sevilla will be hoping to draw Deportivo in the semis having just been stung 6-0 by Real this week. |

| Thanks Paul for another top effort. I'm in the middle of an intensive 2 week training course at the moment and this has entertained me thru my lunch!!
Very happy to get a result against Betis and if they do get Busquets thats gonna make them an even bigger force for next season. Seems like Yaya Toure done his man marking job well.
A excellent result in the cup away to Valencia, now to get Real in the Semis!! |
