| Newcastle 0 Man United 1
Westham 4 Arsenal 3
Fulham 0 Birmingham 1
Villa 2 Reading 2
Man City 3 Blackburn 0
Plymouth 3 Everton 0
some surprise results there this week...
Plymouth 37 +17
Fulham 33 +14
Arsenal 30 +6
Newcastle 28 +4
Man City 27 +9
Birmingham 24 +2
looks like Plymouth are beginning to open out a bit of a lead now with just five games left and they have a reasonably easy run in as well as they have to play Villa home and away as well as Blackburn, Man United and Man City, the only down side for them seems to be that four of their last five games are away from home. Week 22 away at Old Trafford could be vital, but they have averaged three goals a game now over their last six games. |

| Wow - meetings all morning and a nice 3-nil win against a usually very defensive Everton side is great news, very nice to see a slight tactical shift may have made the difference with a 0-0 in the previous match against Everton. Great to see Anelka getting on the scoresheet twice as well!
Livid that Johnson got himself sent off though but I hope his replacement can come in and do the business. Now to see how my second string got on in the cup against City and any other news...
Looking at the table it is still very tight and with a number of away games there is a lot for the side still to do.
Great to see Lyon getting a win too! |

| thats very interesting actually with Rooney playing in the top flight alongside quality players the goal split is thus from the last six Plymouth games...
Rooney TM 5 goals
Robinho ST 5 goals only 5 games though
Anelka ST 6 goals
Ireland DY 2 goals
that looks about right to me for a TM in the top flight playing alongside top players. |

| Pleased with the win over Boro, although good wins for Chelsea and Watford mean pretty much no change at the top. Four more wins to get to the promised land....
Don't want to go into the last game of the season needing a win against the immovable object that is Watfords defence.
Disappointed Nantes failed at what was in effect the final hurdle, but a strong performance non-the-less over the season, and with a Europa final to look forward to and hopefully a good run in the domestic cup, I can't be too hard on the young boys.
Paris look a well organised outfit too, probably deserve to be winners over the season. |
