Season 31 Week 4 processing...

Welcome to week four.

I did manage to run some of the reset yesterday but we are slightly behind because of the bank holiday so the normal schedule may not apply this week, we will have to see how it goes...

Watford;

Home encounter for Watford this week, Will Rooney come back to haunt his former Club? Will be a interesting match up vs Joghinho. The Flying wingers of Everton vs Counter Attacking football of Watford will certainly be a interesting match up! Probably fortune last weeks Injury to Mendy give's way for the more defensive minded Jonny Otto to deputise at LB. Also a return to the fold for Pogba and Kevin De Bruyne... Home advantage needs to be capitalised on and 3 points a must! 

Champions Cup game vs Benfica, never have i seen a team so dedicated to home grown talent! The Portugese champions vs the English champions. Should be a interesting game, with some rotations made by the manager, allowing Phil Jones, Bale, Barkley, Sturridge, Hudson Odoi some playing time to show the manager they can play there way into the first11! Renato Sanches is sensational in that TM role, and Rice will have to use every trick he's got to keep him under wraps if the Watford manager wants to take anything from this game.

Genk;

The current champions have gone about there business in a clinical fashion so far this season, with the addition of Eriksen propelling the team to next level. The towering Benoit Badiashile comes into the defence at CL to give a more natural feel to the back line looking to strike a formidable partnership with Rudiger! Up against the talented Bruges who appear to be planning for the future with their recruitment policy. Genk look to use there experience to maximum effort.. Neymar, Lewandowski and Griezmann.. 

Europa Cup, brings the Belgian champions up against Basel. Who with there FAST attacking style of play look to cause Genk Problems. However, Genk have drafted Bonucci in to add that extra bit of class in the defence. Always good to have a mature player to bring in and give a bit of nouse on the pitch! Same for Moussa Dembele who returns from injury to get some game time. A game the manager will be looking to take all 3 points from as European glory still evades the Belgians!

Leverkusen;

Manager struggling to priotise which dealings to do first... players, youth, staff, buildings, sell or buy.... However, the game's keep coming thick and fast! This week adventure is against Wolfsburg who were nearly managed instead of Leverkusen but the project put to the manager was more in tune with what the manager hopes to achieve in Germany. Leverkusen definitely suffering from tactical/personnel changes, hopefully can bring the rag tag band up to speed sharpish and settle the players down and into there new surroundings sooner rather then later. with the most recent recruit being the veteran Martin Olsson! 

European Cup challenge this week is Zenit... who lead the attack with the Veteran Dzyuba! Even though the Leverkusen defence has had some reinforcements in the case of Christensen, the rebuild still continues and European qualification might just be a step too far this season. But it's the taking part that counts.... Right??? 

Botafogo;

Current leaders Vs the Champions... Well this could be interesting. Botafogo have the evergreen Dani Alves back from injury and look to get in back into the action straight away.. Couto might feel hard done by since coming into the team has done well... Vasco have Alisson De Freitas injured who has been in sublime form for them lately so opportune moment for Botafogo to snatch and grab 3 points hopefully!! Another defeat would be disastrous  for the current Champions....   

In the Copa Libertadores Botafogo are against the Argentinian giants Boca! Who fortunately have their star striker Lucas Pratto sidelined. Manager has had to rotate with 2 important games this week so in comes Mateus Tete, Moussa Dembele, Matheus Fernandes and Couto to give the team some fresh legs and hopefully the manager a few headaches for team selection next week. Botafogo are determined to retain their Copa Liba title so a win is necessary!!
