It is raining here at Villa Park but that hasn't dampened the spirits of the Villa faithful because they have just seen their side go further ahead as Ben Davies came up from the back to grab their second and after 38 minutes it is now

Welcome back to a thrilling game with Plymouth dominating possession and United breaking fast the game is finally balanced between two contrasting styles but the reason I called yhou back was to tell you that Plymouth have retaken the lead through Raheem Sterling and after 42 minutes it is now
Plymouth 2 Man United 1
but it is still very even with both sides looking like they could score again...

and the ref blows for the end of the first half and the players walk off to varying degrees of cheers and jeers, and we'll be back with all the action from the second half after a short break...

Good to see Fluminense manage to turn things around after going down early, hopefully they can hold on now.
What can I say about Nantes? 4-0 at half time to a top team is unbelievable.
Charlton still in it, seems quite tight at Maine Road despite both teams sticking to their attacking principles. Hopefully we can nick one in the second half whilst keeping it tight at the back.

Welcome back to sunny Maine Road where the home fans are in a boistrous mood following an early second half freekick from fullback Aaron Cresswell that flew into the back of the net to make it
Man City 2 Charlton 0
but that doesn't tell the whole story because the away side have competed very well and could have easily scored themselves and this game isn't over yet with more goals to come for sure as both defences seem well outnumbered here today...

I'm hearing some disturbing news from Villa Park where Paulinho Maciel has been sentoff and that could be disastrous for Villa because he is one of their midfield lynchpins...

So much for keeping it tight....
Two goals down at Maine Road is a very very big ask....
