Has anybody else had loads of players decide they are too good for their academies this turn?
Has there been a change to the max CR for academies? If so this has massive implications for keeping to the stricter limit on squad numbers next season!

academy nogo's are just trialists, stars and transfer-listed players. CR doesnt come into it.

I've had 3 players at both clubs, all cr 94, none have been reviewed this turn, yet all of them have suddenly decided this turn they are too good for my development academy, is this right then?

This  would seem more than fair in my opinion if it were the case1, it makes perfect sense that a footballer with a certain current ability (eg CR > 95) wouldn't be happy sat in the academy.  Although I suppose that's why the appearance requirements came in.

Think the squad size issue next year will be a great addition, will really make managers think about some players they currently have.  For example, I am having to seriously think about Shelvey and Wanyama.  Players who won't get anywhere near the first team, but ones I'd like to hang onto for future potential.  However, due to squad sizes it is more likely I will have to let them go.

Bet some managers will have bigger dilemmas than me?

I have had the same issue, got Musacchio and Jose Nacho 9494 and 9592 both think they are too good for my development academy while players like Nasastic and Lamela are still there.  

Looks like they will be going on the transfer list now (Nacho and Musacchio that is)

the list of nogos also includes players with an attitude of 1 or 2, sorry forgot about that little wrinkle. it is usually players who are over 21 who complain about this so may well affect your development academy better players, who have already achieved some recognition in real life.

taking Musacchio as an example, was prev a youth int so okay at youth academy, then under20 international ( still youth ) didnt get any under21 caps was 21 years old so okay at youth academy, now he is 22 with 2 full caps he wont stay at your development academy anymore.

 In my case makes perfect sense with Florenzi.

Nastasic is full int as well but still only 20 so he will be okay at youth academy until he turns 22 unless he becomes a star player before turning 22. which is a big possibility in his case.

in Jamie's case he has

James McCarthy turned 22 and is already EIR full int so was attitude 9 last week at age 21 but he is now attitude 2 at age 22.

Brek Shea 23 16 caps for the USA now also attitude 2 at least

Jake Livermore now age 23 recent callup and cap for england lifted him to attitude 2 so again no longer wants academy football.

I think this shows what a great eye for talent Jamie has, and at least it's a good problem to have.

as of next season your squad should ideally be made up of 23 players incl 3 GKs

11 attitude 1s
7 attitude 2s
5 attitude 9s

that leaves you 2 places for trialists and buying and selling so you dont overflow the 25 limit. although of course you can still go over the 25 limit and take the consequences.

I've been talking to a few of you about the 5 attitude 9 players and most say they will be looking for under 22 younguns but some say they will mix in a few vets as well.

the excess attitude 2 players , mostly internationals, who are currently filling up your academies will go to strengthen the reality managed teams and increase competition. the system is currently buying these players at 2 times tribval instead of the usual 1.5 times.

forward thinking managers may want to 'new' young stars into their feeder clubs of course because this gives you another 11 attitude 1 slots and another 7 attitude 2 slots for the time when those younguns also prove what a good judge of character you are and become attitude 2s as well. This gives you the option to keep them and play them until such times as you want to transfer them to your parent club or sell  them to make way for another up and comer. some of you of course will continue to run your feeder clubs as separate clubs which is also okay of course.

Also there the opportunity to loan players. I think the loan system is a real benefit giving playing time to good young players and helping fill gaps without the need for transfers.

Perfect, makes absolute sense to me. Helps with making reality teams a lot stronger and also is very realistic with the players mentioned above. 

Just a quick question Paul, is it possible now to include a players attitude on the scout report? Just because it is now such an important issue to think about when signing a player? I appreciate it might vary club to club, so would this be difficult to implement?
