| Some of you may recall Martin from his time managing Lazio in Italy and I thought you would want to know that, unfortunately and it is with great sadness that I relay this to you, Martin passed away on the 20th March.
RIP Martin. |

| Very sad news, Martin's rants were, as Gaz says, legendary! Always a pleasure to do business with.
RIP Martin. |

| Oh my god. He was the reason for Harry Kewell copping so much flak.
RIP Martin. You were an absolute loon, and an absolute pleasure to deal with.
I know he rankled a few, but I thought he was good value. Good guy. Sad loss. |

| I think the charity shield in the game should be renamed the Martin highman memorial shield or run a friendly tournament every season |

| Shocked to say the least.
agree with gaz would be a nice little gesture that I'm sure he'd appreciate.
And if he doesn't I'm sure he'll tell us when we join him

| I can't believe this, Martin, Iain and myself used to play in a pbm called MC Soccer many years before we found out about CF. Even looked after his Lazio team when he had to take a brief break from the game for personal reasons.
He was a good man, even if he didn't like Pauls green pen!!!
My thoughts go to his family.
RIP Martin |

| I only spoke to him a few times but from what I gathered a top lad. Totally agree with Gaz's idea - top shout mate!
RIP Martin |

| I couldn't believe it to be honest, pretty shocked. found an email from his misses in my spambox while i was de-junking the other day. i know he was a cynical git and had a way with words (the nicest way of putting it) but the place isnt the same without martin mouthing off about something or other. his jokes were quite funny even if they made me cringe first. god rest his soul. |
