I was chatting with Paul, albeit briefly and I asked about the re signing of old players.
They will only sign for you if they have been away from your club for two seasons. Be careful that you don't get your fingers burnt like I almost did!

Those rules must have changed recently, as I resigned Drogba after about 7 games away!

they have.
as i believe it, its how you treated them while they were at the club.
if you got them in the door, had them nowhere near the first team and then got rid , i dont think they will play for you again not matter how long.

Thanks Will, I've heard of a couple of instances where players have re signed after 7 weeks - nothing is straight forward is it!!
It's probably best to check with Paul if a player will or won't sign for you before possibly wasting a dealing.

angelo palombo only left me for about 9 turns and resigned in about week 12. he played every game when i had him first time round though, i doubt he'd have signed if he was just a reserve player

i think you also get given a little feedback sometimes,
ie: You have sold Ross Mrcomack, he wasnt happy he wasnt given a chance at the club.
which interprets as ' he hates your guts and would rather pull his eyes out with spoons than play for you again'
