Wow , we needed a win and did it in style , a slight tactical tweak and a bit of inspiration seems to have done the trick after 3 defeats on the spin.....i defintely have not just walked round my living room singing Chelsea songs .....its only a game , so they say |

| Well played Gaz, didn't see a thumping coming but fair play. Charlton a shadow of themselves despite zero changes. Nantes losing at home and Wolfsburg continue to fight against relegation with a disappointing draw.
Answers on a postcard please.... |

Honestly at a loss! Not just Charlton but all three champions from last season! |

| One of those CF weeks in England and Spain.
Both tough away games for the sides so not a time to panic at all - though do wonder whether a slightly more combative DY for away games in FLY might help stability.
Anyway, great that CF is back after the break and we move onto next week! |

Palace 1 Bournemouth 1 Harrison. On a crisp summer afternoon, the atmosphere in the stadium was electric, with fans donning their team's colors and chanting in unison. As the whistle blew to signal the start of the game, both teams were locked in a fierce battle, striving for dominance. Throughout the first half, the winning team demonstrated impressive teamwork and strategy. Their defense was resolute, thwarting every attempt from the opposing side while their midfielders controlled the pace of the game. With each pass and play, they built momentum, a palpable energy surging through the stands as fans cheered passionately. The winning team's star forward seized an opportunity, skillfully maneuvering past defenders. With a precise strike, he sent the ball soaring into the back of the net, igniting an explosion of joy among their supporters. The scoreboard lit up, and the crowd erupted in celebration, waving flags and chanting their team’s name. With the clock winding down, the team maintained their composure. Their goalkeeper made a series of breathtaking saves, ensuring that the lead held firm. As the final whistle blew, the winning players embraced in exhilaration, a mix of relief and joy washing over them. They had not only claimed victory but had done so as a cohesive unit, each player contributing to the triumph. As they celebrated on the field, fans flooded the stands, singing and dancing in celebration of the hard-fought win. The team raised their arms in triumph, acknowledging their loyal supporters. This victory would be remembered not just for the score, but for the unbreakable spirit and unity they showcased throughout the match.

| Where does time go ...
Premiership
ManCity 18 +12 Plymouth 15 +9 Spurs 12 +6 ManUnited 12 +4 Watford 9 -3
City fans enjoyed the performance this week of Julian Alvarez against his old club and he certainly was the star of the show as he netted two goals to leapfrog City over the Pilgrims into top spot. Early doors yet though... |

Havertz strikes to get Schalke's winning run going as they sail free at the top of the table but Leverkusen are in close pursuit and it could be a very interesting season... |
