Santos 53 +51 current champions Fluminense 49 +37 Botafogo 47 +47 Vasco 35 +10
Only the second time this season that Santos have failed to score, but worrying cos its the second time in the last three games, the first game was against Corinthians who they play again next week before the finale of the season when they travel to Fluminense. Important week coming up for the reigning Champions... |

Cherry 48 +31 current champions Derry 48 +29 Cork City 43 +26 Shelbourne 34 +15
Cherry back on top ( no pun intended ) with a fine win at fifth placed Limerick but a goalless draw for Derry must be worrying, pressure at the top is immense... |

Charlton 46 +21 Man City 45 +18 current champions Plymouth 42 +22 Watford 37 +16
Salah and Kane were just too good for Banstead's defence to give Charlton an essential three points in their search for their first Premiership title. Plymouth at home next week for the leaders against what could be a much changed side by the sounds of it, whilst Champions Man City play at home to Burnley... |

Leicester 42 +14 PROMOTED Wednesday 39 +11 Spurs 38 +17 ------ Liverpool 34 +10
Leicester are promoted to the top flight of English football for the first time in ten seasons after superb work by boss Colin Montgomery has seen them rise from league one in just three years, a time span that includes two appearances in the Fairs Cup final one of which was a victory. I suspect some rebuilding may be needed to withstand the rigors of the Premiership as the team is currently laced with veterans... |

Wolfsburg 47 +25 Leverkusen 45 +36 Schalke 42 +24 current champions Hannover 41 +22
Raheem Sterling seems to be coming good at the right time for Wolfsburg with three crucial goals in the last six league games and the fans will be hoping he can maintain his form for next week's visit from struggling Dortmund. Unbeaten since the first week of the season they are looking a good bet for their first ever Bundesliga title, but will they hold their nerve ? The double defeat against Wolfsburg may prove costly for Leverkusen as they keep up the pressure on the leaders with a stonking demolition of once mighty Gladbach, although it seems to have cost them the services of Gravenberch for next week's visit to Berlin. Schalke could yet decide the destination of their title as they play Wolfsburg in the last game of the season... |

Ajax 51 +56 PSV 49 +49 Twente 49 +42 current champions Feyenoord 49 +27
Separate this lot if you can !!! Easy game next week for Ajax who entertain Vitesse ? you'd think so, then a trip to PSV should be interesting. Two easy home games for Twente means nobody can afford to drop points. Two even easier games for Feyenoord doubles the pressure on the top two although in the advent of a tie at the top the title could be decided on goal difference... |

Porto 53 +49 Benfica 52 +53 current champions Boavista 50 +23 Lisbon 39 +18
Estadio Barcelos was almost empty this week as Porto dropped two vital points to struggling Gil Vicente in a game they could ill afford to fail, but fail they did letting Benfica in with a real shout at retaining their title. A tough game at home to Boavista next week will probably decide Porto's fate... |

Rangers 47 +22 Motherwell 45 +18 Aberdeen 39 +12 current champions Hibs 36 +14
Rangers go top with a narrow victory over Motherwell in a thrilling game. But the important stuff is happening at the bottom of the tabel where my own St Johnstone secured a point at Hibs that keeps them three points above the relegation places with a slightly better goal difference. Two home games left against Inverness and Motherwell will decide the fate of my Saints... |

Nacional 57 +71 current champions Danubio 56 +77 Defensor 47 +50 Penarol 43 +22

| Only two deals of any real value this week as
Spurs sign Hakim Ziyech from Boavista for £80millions and Stoke sign Emre Tezgel from Charlton for £35millions.
Plenty of smaller deals on the TP special action report this week. |

Massive win for Charlton today, against a very good Banstead side who are very hard to beat. Could it finally be Charlton's year? A very difficult game against a hurting Plymouth is up next, vital we keep our noses in front of City going into the final day but that will be very difficult. Nerves were bad enough today, can't imagine what they will be like in the next two games..... |

Ah well, I’m off to the boozer now, when the hangover dies off tomorrow I’ll dissect what’s gone wrong. Another enjoyable week despite results. Well done to all the cup winners |

Feels like another massive week for Nantes this week, managing to take back the top spot. Two home games left, two wins and it would be a sensational title win despite numerous changes to the squad over the last few weeks. Lille is the tough one next week with the reverse fixture proving a drab 0-0, need more than that in the next game as I can't see Etienne dropping anymore points but it will be very tough against Dave's top side. |

Wolfsburg continue to defy the odds in Germany, maintaining the winning run just as the pressure continues to build. Unbelievable season so far, two wins away from achieving the unthinkable. The trip away to Schalke looms large like an enormous black cloud on the horizon however but thoughts must be focused on Dortmund next week to leave us a chance on the last day. |

Plenty of smaller deals on the TP special action report this week. Tezgel looks a real talent and sorry to see him leave but he faced a lot of competition at Charlton and asked to return home to try and force his way into the first team there. Can't stand in any players way when their heads are elsewhere.... |
