This is the reason I rotated half the team in Europe, to hopefully create a few chances in the last few minutes! Come on Charlton! |

| Well a solid week and a hugely tight game in the League against Watford. Maybe the slightly defensive formation I went with proved costly but a point and Plymouth keep moving forward - helped by results elsewhere. Haaland proving his worth and a potential start next week beckons.
Great to see the other teams win, esp Twente who conceded late on so great for them to hold on! |

| Premiership
Plymouth 24 +17 Charlton 22 +10 Man City 21 +7 Champions Watford 17 +6 Chelsea 17 +4
Haaland rescues a point for the leaders after a rare goal from Declan Rice had put Watford in front whilst the Champions made easy work of demolishing Crystal Palace to move closer to the top two and watch out for Watford and Chelsea as both sides are showing improved form. It's getting exciting... |

| A Chelsea win to hopefully gain a bit of momentum, Bate comfortable win and a defeat for Braga is no surprise as they start to face some of the better teams in the league who are a step to far to currently overcome |

Through to the quarter-finals already are Barcelona, Plymouth, Man City, Bayern, Watford and Schalke. Charlton only need a point at Chelsea whilst Chelsea need all three, looking forward to that game on match day six. Inter need only a point from their last game. So the eight qualifiers are almost sorted. Schalke have done well after the team turned up at Maine Road for their first match, only to be told to go to Vicarage Road! |

It's getting exciting... Watford looking to keep the first XI settled even with new Arrivals. Not sure how long James Ward-Prowse and Baines can keep it up at fullback! Maybe something for Southgate to consider Players did really well and hopefully can continue in the form currently in. Who knows what happens by EOS! |

Watford signed Lucas Paqueta, Gabriel Martinelli and Renan Lodi. Wolfsburg bought Hudson-Odoi and Raheem Sterling from Watford. Late night Faxes and rigorous medicals completes before signings could be announced! Mid season crisis or does the manager know what he's doing? Only time will tell... Manager couldn't pass on the opportunity to bring in the talented Martinelli, Paqueta and Renan. Martinelli will be looking to break into the first XI, left wing. Manager needs to understand Paquetas best role within the team. Loved by Tite for his versatility and ability to play midfield and out on the wings. Renan Lodi, comes in to cause competition for places. Evergreen as Baines is 37 is a good time to wind down. Kobbie Mainoo is the next talented wonderkid to arrive at Vicarage Road with the managers eye always on the future talents. Shame to see Sterling go, but has never broken into the first team. Potential managers fault for chopping and changing and rotating him. Hudson-Odoi again, never broke into the first team with the likes of Barnes, Grealish, Smith-Rowe and Maddison preferred in his positions. Aaron Wan-Bissaka departs as too many fullbacks on the books and he still had a strong re-sell value to help the club invest in a state of the art Vitabios Centre. |
