ACMilan 21 +13 Champions Juventus 18 +12 Napoli 15 +5 Lazio 13 +3 InterMilan 13 +0
A lucky week for the Champions ACMilan as they beat Roma against the run of play to stay just ahead of the chasing pack. |

Porto 24 +20 Benfica 19 +20 Champions Boavista 19 +9 Braga 18 +15
Braga coming up like a steam train and remain unbeaten but a hatrick for Joao Teixeira helps to keep Porto out in front by a massive five points. |

Motherwell 22 +10 Inverness 19 +12 Rangers 18 +9 Hibs 15 +1
Champions Celtic still suffering with poor early season form after an indifferent pre-season are still nowhere to be seen although they are doing better than my own St Johnstone who have won just once so far this seasson after gaining promotion last season. Motherwell stay top inspired again by Diego Tardelli who continues to deliver despite his advancing years. |

Will be very interesting to see what Cosmos value him at? If they agree to his sale, there will be a lot of suitors I’m sure… |

| The big news of the week is Plymouth's capture of Erling Haaland from Real Madrid in what is probably the biggest deal ever done in Championship Football over the years. Moving in the other direction are no less than six players. Alexander Isak, Frenkie De Jong and Lisandro Martinez from Atletico. Marc Cucurella from Twente. Karl Hein and Donny Van De Beek from Plymouth. Probably near to £500millions worth of talent will be joining Real Madrid this week where Real's rivals will be hoping the disruption will knock Real out of their stride, we shall see...
Elsewhere...
Watford sign Arsenal's Gabriel Magalhaes for £45millions plus Harry Maguire. Bayern sign fullback Noussair Mazraoui from Ajax for £20millions. QPR sign Andy Townsend and Daniel Sturridge from Wolfsburg in exchange for Mykhaylo Mudryk. |

With now 3 CFs at Plymouth - plus Gabriel Jesus who seems to have enjoyed his shift to CF in the CL this week - am listening to offers for Lukaku and Nunez - one of which will depart Plymouth to make way for the new arrival! |

| At the risk of opening up a whole can of worms, I do feel sorry for Gaz and Andy in these types of scenarios. Managers like myself, Ben, Phil, Rob etc have a pool of about 200 players to barter with whereas they have only a fraction of that just because they can’t afford/don’t want to manage more clubs.
We’ve just had a discussion about making the game a more level playing field in terms of cost when talking about friendlies?
Thoughts? |

Through shell companies - doesn’t ‘manage’ them directly… |

I have 3 teams , Braga have a thin squad with £22 million in the bank and Bate have about £4 million and half the squad need new contracts with £450,000 sign on fees so they are financially buggered. |

Thoughts? I often think this but you have earned the right through hard work to gather these squads, For example i put in a bid for 60 million for Fofana then upped it to 75 million but he ended up going to Nantes in exchange for Saint Maximan which is fine , i have some cash at Chelsea but i am not in position to offer players without disrupting and already inconsistent team. i can basically only offer cash at the moment which is also of no use to most of you. it is what it is. |

Thoughts? Never really thought of being at a disadvantage just having 1 club. In fact, I like the 'intensity' of it. You either have a good week or a bad week I suppose. No 'well that team lost but these 2 teams won so not so bad'. There's definitely less of a 'pool' of players and I have to be careful about players coming in and going out, but again, that gives my decisions more weight. Can't be much of a disadvantage - current CL champ! |
