I got mine yesterday too,  slight ache in my arm but otherwise fine..... shin splints that doing me in at the moment

Feeling okay so far, upper arm is a bit sore but other than that feeling okay. The nurse was gorgeous, dont tell the missus I said that though.

Did anyone else get a European Scout report for the team they played last by any chance? I don't have the latest SR's for any of my next opponents in the European etc cups.

I ran game two last week and it caused some data corruption to the main player database when the power went out halfway through the processing cycle. This corrupted most players ghost caps which isnt too serious because it only affects a players PT and CR and those fields are both protected, which means the system should never downgrade a players PT or CR, only I can do that manually. So it hasnt affected any players PTCR.

However it did make me think about the current system and some of the tedious things I have to keep updated to make it work properly, hence I decided on a minor redesign of the way the system uses international caps to determine PT and CR for new players.

Hence forth a player who gains 1 full cap will go to PT99 CR97 and once he gains 25 full caps he will go to PT99 CR99. Then if I feel he deserves a CR99 before reaching 25 full caps I can assign him 25 ghost caps in order to bring him up to CR99.

This does not affect players currently on the database only new players.

Paul - just on this here - is there an opportunity to have a hiatus on a player now becoming Attitude 1 here due to changes? 

Its not a major issue but at Twente - for example – have a couple of previous Attitude 2 players now needing to play - Henrique and Origi for example – which is going to cause a bit of an issue here in getting them in and disrupting things or reducing effectiveness. Think it's because I don't pay them the £150k here to bring them down to Attitude 2.

I can loan them out - or increase the wages here – and move some things around in the squads here if not - didn't know whether you could do anything for these instances at all easily though?

If the new cap system has caused any of your players a problem with their attitude I might be able to reset the effected player, you need to list the players refn and name here and I'll see what I can do...

Ben - Henrique has been turned back to a 9997 1 cap 0 ghostcaps but Origi has 31 fullcaps so I cant turned him back, he went up after being reviewed in game two.

With more and more reallife squads moving away from a first 11 setup towards a squad setup maybe its time to remove player attitude altogether ?

Thanks Paul for this - presuming Henrique is therefore now Attitude 2 - first 18? No issues on Origi - can leave one out without affecting effectiveness.

Maybe not 'remove', but certainly 'tweak'...there are still players at top clubs that don't like the squad rotation.

Agree with Andy here - I do think tweaking it here is something could consider...

Personally I think the new system has created a bit of an imbalance.  Haven't got an issue with the way PTCR is calculated however the problem comes when players PTCR shoots up but the skills stay the same.  For example I have a CF who is now 9999 but whose total skills are just over 100, ie not good enough.  I either now pay him £150,000, play him or sell him.   I can't play him as there is a better player on a similar standing.  So I can now either review him to get skills to a reasonable level or sell him.   With the limit on reviewing, again fair enough, it will take until the back end of next season to get all players done.  If I sell him, and the others, it is disrupting a squad that has taken years to put together.  Either way the season is knackered.  

I think the short term notice of the changes has really caused a problem, if we had time to deal with it then it might work better.  

Is it possible to scrap the attitude system for the rest of this season, then reintroduce it, in a similar form or maybe tweaked a little in week one of next season to give us a little time to get our houses in order?

I think it was introduced to stop hoarding but with the recent cull on squad numbers, I'm not sure that is such an issue anymore?

You make a good point Tom so only 9999s with 25 or more REAL caps will have attitude=1 if paid less than £150,000 a week.
