| Round Up Watford
Due to popular demand, thought I would do a little roundup of the results. “Protect the lead” is what the managers previous philosophy used to be; however, you have to actually take the lead to protect it. As of lately that hasn’t been the situation at the WGBL group. So, the manager decided to role the dice…. Not with one club, but with all of the clubs. Go big or go home!
Manager wanted to make problems for other teams, dropping a TM and adding a BW doesn’t seem like a natural choice to add an attacking dimension to the team. However, moving Sterling from ST to LW and pushing KDB wide from TM to RW certainly seemed to wreak havoc on the Birmingham backline and Maddison in to replace the injured Barnes and Grealish (cheers ring around the stadium just of the name being announced) who bagged himself a hattrick in a central DY position. Also, Shaw made his league debut, giving support to the wingers. The manager wanted to be less Southgate and more Guardiola….
The Cup game Vs Portsmouth was a little more adventurous dropping the BW for a DRDL combination. With a little rotation thrown in for good measure Baines, Cancelo, Ward Prowse and Mings given a chance to push the first teamers and scoring 6 goals without reply is a good way to put pressure for the first 11.
Manager managed to offload the Jeremie Boga and bring in the talented Ivan Toney who provides more cover up front… Race is on, who gets into the England Squad first Toney or Bamford…. Genk
The Belgium side, wanted to get the most out of Mahrez and Griezmann moved them to RW and LW respectively and then put Camavinga in charge of chasing the ball down and Eriksen dropped deeper into a DY role to dictate play from a little deeper and from the shackles of a AM. Would seem Gravenberch enjoyed having the extra bodies in midfield and when on a forward marauding run and got himself on the score sheet.
Off field the club have invested in a new state of the art Stadium/Training pitch roof after last season a concert was called off due to poor weather conditions.
Also, new sponsors Tropicana and Stella Artois have been named for the forthcoming season.
Leverkusen
Leverkusen called upon the vastly experienced Trochowski in the middle of the park in place of Mhkitaryan who as struggled in his first few weeks.
The new Bundesliga side thought they might struggle but two defeats at the start of the season prompted swift action to maintain their top division status. Bailey and El Shaarwary compliment Lewandowski up top, hoping to cause problems with their explosive pace and trickery in the channels. Contracts given to Future Germany Captain Niklas Dorch and Arda Guler, while Igahlo finds himself transfer listed after competition in his place.
Sole goal for Leverkusen gave them all 3 points, which is first points on the board for the newly promoted side. Who will be mightily relieved and hope to push on now.
Botafogo
No body defends in Brazil…. Why start now? The manager forsaken a BW for a double DY combination to allow for more attacking which seemed to pay off after a 2-0 win over Gremio. Goals from Leonardo and Fernandinho (Combined age of 71). Neymar took up his more comfortable LW role, while Veron given more freedom on the RW to express himself and Lucas and Fernandinho at DLDR and Casemiro to Anchor the side from becoming to exposed.
The supporters club development continues as Botafogo are expanding all over the globe, becoming a world-renowned team. From developing world class youngers to buying global mega stars there is plenty of talent on display to draw a huge fanbase. |

| Thanks Paul. Just a couple of quicks one here. I got this message in the Plymouth turn: ‘FELIPE CAICEDO expected a bigger next game bonus which would help him to resist the affects of complacency following the teams recent success’.
I also got this for Atletico and Independiente here for certain players. Whilst didn't affect the result at Plymouth and Atletico, I am wondering whether this affected the result in Argentina? I set a bonus at 10% of the highest wage for all clubs - 15.1 K here - is this not enough to combat complacency here?
I also got a random message to say Zapata was looking tired in the Independiente game - he was the same one who was complaining about NG bonus – but he started with 200 odd mins of Stamina....
Might you please be able to take a look. Apologies, here just trying to make sure am getting everything right here.
Thanks
Ben

Also, got no match report for Schoolboy game and no new table either... The same player who moaned for me also got tired here despite having loads of stamina so whether its linked I'm not sure... |

| Players start league games with a maximum of 90 stamina and 120 for cup games.
I'll check those complacency messages tomorrow... |

| Thanks Paul, much appreciated!
Regarding stamina is that regardless of what the stamina says on the stamina report here?
Zapata defo had 90 to start here so was a bit of a weird message on 60 odd mins, but was inbetween a move between players so thought maybe just a rogue comment?
Thanks
Ben

| Same on complacency and I was paying £50k next game bonus. Also same on schoolboys. No match reports and no League tables. |

| The complacency messages showing this week are erroneous, looks like some windows 10 file corruption again, all NGbonuses have been logged, used and you've been charged and the message should just be ignored.
Looks like the Schoolboy results also succumbed to the file corruption I will retrieve them from the ether and send them out tomorrow.
You shouldn't rely on the stamina of over29 players to last beyond 60 minutes even if they start the league game with stamina=90 cos they suffer with stamina burn occasionally depending on what happens in the game. Especially true if a veteran player is manmarked. I will try to show this on the stamina report for future reference.
For CFs the tired tag doesn't actually affect them because they dont move up field or drop back to defend and that's all tiredness does, it sets willingness to gopast to zero and willingness to goup field to zero, so wont affect your CF.

| Complacency will affect players if you win 3 league games on the bounce. If you havent won at least 3 games you wont suffer from Complacency of any sort.
There are 3 parts to Complacency for each player
1) Individual - First Team League only - use NGbonus to combat with 10% of salary. 2) Individual - First Team Cup only - use NCbonus to combat with 10% of salary. 3) Team - All players - use Complacency Speech to prevent with 100% effectiveness.
if a player suffers from complacency they play that week with the complacency flag and don't try as hard as normal, this includes ALL games that week res, you, sba, cups and euros. they also suffer a skill handicap across some skills League gamesWWW -0.5skill WWWW -1skill WWWWW -1.5skill WWWWWW -2skill skills affected include running, agility, leadership, strength and tackling.
with the added wrinkle that Champions will always play slightly complacent -0.5skill unless your NGbonus and NCbonus are high enough, so Champions have to pay the bonuses each week, they also need to reach 20% of salary threshold before the bonus becomes effective.
