Rich, why were you forced to sell Edu in the first place?

you only get them (compulsory sales) if you dont rectify being over your overdraft within a single turn. i had this the turn before last but had pending sales negotiated from the previous turn. the funny thing was some of the deals were initially blocked by the chairman for not being satisfactory enough, thats with the club being in need to sell said players to balance the books. this part of the game needs rectifying really, if you have a turn to sell players and balance the books then no deals should be blocked. its surely better for the club to sell 5 or 6 chaffe players from negotiated sales (whatever the value) than their best one by compulsory sale.

Went over overdraft by about 34p, so agreed 11m sale of begovic to totally clear overdraft. Paul didn't get my turn, and so sold edu to nonl to bring me back down below limit, even though there was clearly a whacking deal waiting to be confirmed when the turn showed up.

I highlighted this and was told TU would be unaffected when I new'd him back the following turn.

More so when u were assured that he would return with his TU intact. sets u back about 4-5 turns at least

Typical timing for me.The one week I decide not to get a transfer list is the one week I really need it !

Thanks Matt. Was very worried going into the game, really didn't know who to play or which positions - you have a great team and I'm not sure I've ever played against the SEXY tactic before. Sounds like I lucked out. I look forward to reading the match report.

I wont ruin your reading but i had 4 more shots on target and fair chunk of the possession but the most important one was that you scored 4 to my 3!!

At least we had an exciting quarter final compared to the other 3 ties!

Just seen a plus point to this week, in my league match Marchena was sent off after only 13 mins so now very happy with a 1-0 in the Barcelona derby!

1-0 away to Arsenal with a pretty weak team. And it paid off with an an away win in the League too. And the nice thing is my new forward, a certain Mr Eto'o, scored all of them.

Top billing for me this turn though is the signing of the 2nd half of my youth team strikeforce. Alex Pato is in to join Balotelli.

Should've really beaten Liverpool but there's always next turn when I take Arsene Wenger's Reading team on........should be interesting! A couple of new youngsters in to improve the youth team hopefully! Not much else going on at Old Trafford!

Gaz - I reckon Chelsea are favourites for the Europa League but looking forward to playing you in the semi-final.
