Point 2 - this was the crux of our discussion. Can a regular for Sheffield United be compared to a regular for Man City?
Top 5 team in a top league I agree with but I give you the case of France who have about 300 great CBs. Laporte is world class in my opinion BUT has no French caps and he'll be 27 in May so there needs to be some leeway. You get outliers from random countries as well, mostly African and smaller countries where you get a brilliant individuals from a rubbish national team - Weah and Liberia, Aubameyang - Gabon, Gareth McAuley and Northern Ireland ................
First one to call me out on Super G wins. Although his goal against Ukraine in the 2016 Euros was my happiest moment ever at a football match. Woah, what you bringing my players into it for?
My point is Auba and Laporte disprove rules. They are clearly world class even if they don’t fit exact criteria. |

Paul? the SLOW tactic has three "normal" phases phase 1 = not winning = attacking phase phase 2 = winning = ball possession phase phase 3 = winning late on = defensive phase some players will do their own thing for instance they may still attack during the defensive phase but that depends on the players and the opposition players. this week the side you chose for the game decided to play the 3 phases as described above without any breakouts. cos your players had better skills than Cologne they decided one goal would be enough. If some players are low on stamina during the game then they will "take it easy" and with slow that means keep the ball. You scored very early. Match print program removes a lot of backward passes and repetitive passes. All these things contributed to produce a shorter league match report than the fast tactic you used for the cup match. |

| dont forget some systems work slightly differently after week 16 when players get a bit more selfish and do things like 1) conserve stamina ( no more sms bonus after week 16 ) 2) protect themselves from injury when club in cup quarter-finals and other things that make them less likely to get forward as much as normal, using the TRY command can help encourage a player to play his normal game. |

| thanks P, very interesting!
is that why the tactic ended up being SLV - because I was winning at the end?
possession of 54% - thought it might have been more...
thinking about it, that explanation is a relief, as I was thinking that my players in the creative positions are pretty much the best, and should be creating more! |

I've played against SLO and after about 60 minutes, if the team are 1-0 up, they have kept the ball and I have hardly had a touch. The report after that is then like 10 lines long - threw me at first but certainly understood once you hear the explanation. |

Too my knowledge/ experience a feeder club starts as a blank slate with no buildings/Staff And stadiums usually minic real life capacity |

| cheers guys - makes me a bit worried that we start playing defensively when only 1 goal up! i'll see how it all goes...need to play a 'top top' (ie full of 9999s) side, but that won't be until next season. |
