There have been a couple of interesting issues raised this week that are worth clarifying for everybody...

PLAYER PRIDE
Any player with the TRY trademark or TRY command or TRY halftime chat will increase their effort if their side are losing. This pride effect is a 0.5 bonus per goal deficit added to their tackling skill level. So going one goal down will add a bonus of 0.5 to their tackling skill, going four goals down adds a bonus of 2.0 to their tackling skill. There are increased chances of being booked if a tackle includes an adjustment for pride. There are also increased chances of being injured if a tackle goes wrong and the tackle includes the pride effect.


PLAYER DISILLUSIONMENT
How it works is like this, each time you drop a player he gets +1% disillusionment handicap, each time he plays a first11 game the system uses that percentage chance to determine if a small handicap is applied to his concentration level, the conlevel is then checked during the game and any negative effects are seen as disruption because of the concern you've created over a long period he'll be dropped again. A side effect of one players conlevel can have a knock on effect to other players as well and if it gets bad can spread to the whole first11. The rate of spread is at 50% of the original conlevel, so a player with conlevel of 10% has a small chance ( 15% ) of causing a conlevel of 5% in other players. At the end of a week in which a player is still dropped he gains another 1% but any week he plays for the first11 he losses 1% disillusionment until he's back to zero%. Disillusionment handicaps are set to zero first week of the season and any time a player is transferred or loaned out and any time a player's current club reach a domestic cup final or european cup quarter-final. Disillusionment only applies to players aged 24,25,26,27,28 or 29.

PLAYER DISRUPTION
Player Disruption occurs to your league, reserve, youth or schoolboy sides when you drop more than three players. This disruption creates a -0.2 skill reduction handicap for each player dropped over the three allowed. So dropping five players will create a -0.4 handicap. Cup games do not suffer from this type of disruption. Playing a Friendly game with your first11 team ( must be the same players selected to play in your first11 ) will reduce any disruption by 0.2, so changing five players and playing two friendlies will produce a zero effect.
TACTICAL DISRUPTION
Tactical Disruption occurs when you change your main tactic and players in your league, reserve, youth and schoolboy teams will suffer a one skill loss for that week. If you change the main cup tactic then any players selected for any cup game that week will suffer a one skill reduction handicap.

With tactical disruption Paul, I assune changing from FAS to FAD (for example) as the main tactic wouldn't incur the skill reduction as it falls under the same FAS umbrella?

Whereas if I changed from FAS to CAT then it would?

Also, sorry mate, if I am 1-1 at half-time, have TRY as the team talk, but then concede say in the 60th minute will it kick in then or is it just a check at half time?

yes. FAS to FAD is okay FAS to CAT incurs a penalty.
