Disappointing result for the world champs this week, tough group but will be tough to get out of it from this, need a win and another unlikely result.  Lot of work gone into getting the squad right so disappointed to not get out the group., last years success must’ve gone to their heads!

Big deals of the day saw Ferran Torres move from Barcelona to Schalke for £100millions and Ben Chilwell leaves Charlton to join Chelsea for £10millions and Fluminense agree to buy Willian from Chelsea for £30millions.

Pleased to remain unbeaten this season, although I find myself 3 points off the top.  Thats how good Watford are!!

Not convinced by FAD, it seems to work against me rather than for me.  I've managed to snatch two draws from the jaws of victory with the last kick of the game.  Those 4 points would have put me a point clear!  Can help but think those 4 points are going to kill me come the end of the season ( if I am still within that margin to the runaway champions!).

Saying that, I'll never be too disappointed with a draw against City, too mnay battles over the years to take them lightly and there is still a very long way to go, including 2 games v Watford.  However, FAS v CAT I can only see ending one way....

Happy with the start to the season. I’ve only got Zaragoza to play from the top 6 and already played Valencia too. Still a really long way to go and I think this is the most competitive La Liga I can remember. Top 7 clubs are all really strong.

Not sure 3-4-3 seems to work, so many players fixed in their positions makes it so predictable

We were lucky to beat Belgium, and all these top sides are incisive and quick with it - whereas we just plod along at the fringes.....oh god, i need to stop now!

Watched the whole England game and a couple of observations.

Maguire's head is all over the place. Absolutely no need to get sent off especially after getting the first yellow. Being rash is correct but he's also supposed to be a leader. Where was the leadership?

In terms of wide/attacking players I think Southgate is in a great position in terms of availability but why play a striker in Rashford out wide instead of a proper wide option/attacking midfielder?  Surely it would add more creativity. While England didn't get out played in any way they also didn't create too many clear cut chances in spite of the fact they have a squad with Mount, Rashford, Grealish, Saka, Jancho, Trent and Ward-Prowse .... and that's just last night. The most creative player was Reece James. 

Also Calvert-Lewin is on fire. I know Kane is a great player and has a strong history of being England's main CF but Calvert-Lewin is in such good form shouldn't he have gotten the nod? Kane looked a bit laboured and not sure he's 100% fit.

Jordan Pickford ............ very very twitchy and certainly spreads a bit of panic among his defence. Pope and Henderson deserve a chance.
