No firm applications for the Barcelona job, that I could process, although a couple of managers would like an extra week to consider it further, so Barcelona will stay protected for a second week...If you do apply Barcelona will have to become your parent club...

Bit of a disjointed competition this season because I had to merge two separate cups into the one competition part way through the season, but as it turns out Dave and Phil still made it to the final as Phil's Chile will face off against Dave's South Korea.

Geoff's Spain just got the better of Tom's Brazil and are set to face Dave's Germany in the final.

Congratulations to Tom, Geoff, Phil and Dave for reaching the finals, with special mention to Dave for reaching three finals.

League game reset is underway, looks like the league games will kickoff at 1000 hours Wednesday morning...

Some huge games this week in the league as Premiership leaders Man City travel to Watford and Fulham play hosts to Plymouth, whilst Charlton have a game at Chelsea. 

Will this be the week that things change in the Premiership ? 

Seven points separates these top five clubs and it is a must win week for Watford who have drifted off the pace slightly, whilst Charlton will be looking to continue their fine run of recent form and keep another clean sheet away at Chelsea and Plymouth will be hoping to take advantage of any slip up by Man City to leap frog to the top by winning at Fulham. 

Should be very interesting.

There will be a slightly different format to next season's English league structure. Instead of having 8 leagues of 12 teams we will have the top four divisions as they are now with 12 teams each plus a fifth non-league division that comprises of 16 teams. This gives a nice round number of 64 clubs which is ideal for the FA Cup. Promotions and Relegations will happen as normal and trophies will be awarded to club trophy rooms as normal, then the restructuring will take place. So some clubs will be moving from what is now division 8 up to division 5.

I have to say it's fair criticism for Watford, with the departure of the old Manager and with the arrival of myself Watford certainly went through a sticky patch with new philosophy getting bedded in. Purposely havn't done any major transfer's however we shall see what the summer brings?? With the arrival of Rabiot give's some of the first team players food for thought.  However i will keep trying to throw a spanner in the works and get the players all rallied up for a interesting run in that's for sure!
