| Real Madrid will have £180m removed from their opening bank balance this week. This will put them £80m in debt and the system will automatically sack Rob and I then appoint him as the new manager with the normal £5m opening balance and his current squad.
Now at this point things get complicated...
option one = Ollie stays at Inter & Rob stays at Real Madrid and continue their team building with less money.
option two = Ollie moves back to Feyenoord, Rob moves back to Inter and my very good friend Joey who is desperate to takeover at Real Madrid gets what he wants too and I move him from Feyenoord to Real Madrid.
option three = Ollie gets another well deserved promotion and takes over at Real leaving Inter free for Rob.
Joey has agreed to leave Feyenoord and takeover at either Real or Inter and that will depend on the Rob and Ollie decision. Note: if Rob and Ollie move back to their old clubs I will reinstate the bank balance to the amount they were when they left.
Feel free to continue the discussion but this seems the cleanest way of giving everybody what they want after my mistake. Thanks guys.

| Ollie is at school until 3.30 but I'd be happy with that. Can any Real or Inter transfers be cancelled this week please? We can get a final answer from Ollie after school. |

| Paul, I can live with this solution but would also like to cancel my transfers this week. No need for a refund as this is a reasonable solution. Thank you. |

Which option Rob ? Option 2 for me but I'll let Ollie decide for himself later. |

| Just curious Paul, since the finances are being reset. Which is great we'e come to a amicable solution will the affected managers be able to do the following ;
Takeover - from what I remember was a 20/30million one time only cash injection that every club was entitled too ? Stadium sponsor - 10/15 million usually to rename the stadium Shirt sponsor - not so sure on this one....
As far as I'm aware it was only feeder clubs that couldn't do takeovers ?
Might soften the blow to Rob and Andy if they can recoup some of the money lost to help rebuild if rob contuies at real. |

| All of this just goes to show that this is not just a game, but a community too. Well done to Paul for engendering this and a big well done for those affected in settling it amicably. |

| Blimey, just got up to date with this!
Trying to think how I would be feeling in the same circumstances.
I wouldn't have a problem with the cash balance being reset based on the standard starting amount of 5m - that's what I started on at Schalke...I've 'started' many times over the years, so I really wouldn't have expected there to be 300m in the coffers!
..the problem arises with deals done based on the knowledge that you have a massive bank balance. Am i right in thinking you're going to leave any money from transfers in the coffers though?
I think Phil is correct in that these clubs will be able to request Takeovers and Sponsorships - as per normal.
I wouldn't be averse to to each of them having an extra compensatory payment of, say, 20m - which would soften the blow a little - and it wouldn't particularly mess the games' finances up...
It's a tough one - but sounds like you're all close to a solution...Andy. |

| Data entry is all finished now except the fixing of the big issue this week. So I am going to leave things here until I know whether Ollie is going to Real Madrid or back to Feyenoord as per his original thoughts. Once I know that I can finish the data entry and start running the games... |

| I have just read all of this and had a think. I’ll take Real please as I know some players I liked may have left Feyenoord. |

| Just to add to the interest this week I was asked just before christmas if it was possible to create more competition in some of the leagues and the only way to accomplish this is to go back to the days of having combined leagues for the small countries. I asked the managers involved and everybody thought it was a good idea so I have started that process this week.
Before we had separate leagues for Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Slovenia, now teams from those countries will play in the reconstituted twelve team one division Yugoslavian league. League records have been moved to the new league and new fixture lists will be sent out for all clubs involved. |

| I like the move to more competitive regional leagues. Will this affect Slovakia and how does it impact on national teams? I've noticed we have a nation called Arabia. |

Arabia is just a stop gap and this doesnt affect national teams at all. I could combine Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Ukraine into one league. I will send out a survey to these managers this week so what everybody thinks.
