Bring Ruben neves from Nantes ? This worth a try. Or Andy does a FAS system with AL AR BW I think. And that seems to work well with no DY, DL or DR. It's the one I really like the look of. |

| Well I didn't expect that - sorry Rob - especially in light of getting hammered in all my friendlies with TicTac.. A Roma win with 14 men was a surprise too!
Tom - Could try TicTac or something like that? |

Tom - Could try TicTac or something like that? Yeah I play it with Nantes, Oscar is the DY and scores loads. Charlton have too many STs and no CFs unfortunaltey although a false nine would be perfect for that formation. Congrats to all the winners this week, especially Phil. |

| Spain
Zaragoza 3 +5 Stacey Kent Valencia 3 +4 John Simmons Betis 3 +4 Adrian Smith Barcelona 3 +3 Matthew Hudson Sevilla 3 +2 Mark sanderson
Barcelona won the big game this week to put an early dent in the title hopes of Real Madrid thanks mainly to Neymar's two strikes late on, but good wins also for Valencia and Betis gets them off to a flyer. But it's surprise leaders this week in Real Zaragoza who demolished Espanol with a Kozak hatrick who lead the table after one game. |

| Italy
Sampdoria 3 +3 Tom English Inter Milan 3 +2 Rob Wilson Juventus 3 +1 Paul Jones Fiorentina 3 +1 Dave Mullery Ancona 3 +1 Jamie Tyler Roma 3 +1 Ben Wilson
The other big game of the week was in Milan where Inter saw off arch rivals AC with two fine goals from Antoine Griezmann but it is Sampdoria who lead the table after two goals from Rafael Sobis deflated Lazio before they could get going. A hard fought three points for Juventus gets them off to a good start with Roma and Ancona both also coming through tough games to get a good start. |

What has happened to Santos ?
Botafogo 3 +5 Phil Green Sao Paulo 3 +3 Les Kernow Vasco 3 +2 Matt Backley Gremio 3 +1 Richard Allen Ponte Preta 3 +1 Peter Greene
Great win for leaders Botafogo with improved performances from both Sao Paulo and Gremio that must give them hope for the new season. The three favorites for the title not featuring in the top of the tabel this week though, with Santos rock bottom last and Flamengo and Fluminense playing out a hard fought draw. More to come looks like... |

| Premiership
Plymouth 3 +6 Ben Wilson Man City 3 +2 Geoff Fields Chelsea 3 +1 Dave Spurr Wolves 3 +1 Greg Elmassian Watford 3 +1 Jamie Tyler Fulham 3 +1 Phil Green
A fine performance by Plymouth sees them lead the first Premiership table of the season, the managers return to full time duties galvanising his side no doubt. Fulham had the uneviable task of visiting Charlton on the first day and came away with all three points in a narrow victory, will the Charlton boss call it a day ? the papers are full of rumors that he might, but lets hope he doesnt, the league would be poorer for his absence. Both City and Watford negotiated difficult opening day fixtures and will no doubt feature again this season. Tougher than ever before I'd say. |

| Germany
Bayern 3 +5 Matthew Moore Dresden 3 +3 Rob Wilson Dortmund 3 +2 John Bellamy Schalke 3 +1 Andy Le Butt
Bayern lead the table after a blistering opening day performance that saw them demolish a strong Hamburg side, with Dresden starting their topflight adventure on a high and Dortmund taking advantage of Cologne's poor pre-season and the Champions Schalke winning another hard fought three points from a strong Berlin team the top of the Bundesliga has an unusual look to it. |

If we can finish the Bundesliga season now I'll take that. |

| France
Marseille 3 +6 Pete Durham Nantes 3 +4 Tom Hurst Monaco 3 +2 Lionel Gabon
No Etienne and no Paris in top six as both sides suffered opening day defeats, but a great start for Marseille sees them on top, with Nantes also off to a flyer, with Diego Costa almost unstoppable in attack. Monaco complete the top three as three unmanaged sides get the next three positions. |

| Holland
Ajax 3 +5 Greg Elmassian Rotterdam 3 +3 Mick Bateman Feyenoord 3 +2 Ollie Wilson
A tough opener for PSV as they were beaten at Feyenoord to give the top of the table a very familiar look. Looks like it might be another close season in Holland. |

| Thanks Paul - very interesting week.
Two questions I did have - :
1: Might be a slight bug here - is that Mahrez came off injured and was replaced by Xhaka who ended up playing LW as apposed to DR (which Mahrez was playing) - is there a reason for this at all as seems slightly strange given the tactic I was playing?
2: Also wondering if Stadium Sponsorship is paid over the season or immediately as didn't receive any cash this turn for the new sponsorship arrangement negotiated.
Thanks
Ben

Ben I had the same thing with Inter. Dybala came off injured at TM and was replaced by Lo Celso which makes sense but as a LW. Lo Celso has TM as a position and I play FAS with no wingers. |
