Season 28 Week 1 processing...

Welcome to the new season, season number 28, wow, the enthusiasm and patience that you guys show my little game is very much appreciated and never ceases to amaze me, long may it continue and thanks.

This weekend is a bank holiday so you should expect things to be a day late.

I want to wish everybody the best of luck for the upcoming games and ask you how you think you will fair and which team are you most worried about.

Expectations for the season are mainly for title challenges all around.  Least likely is Charlton I expect, too any goals flying in at the wrong end will ultimately cost us again.  Top three would be an achievement, especially with the ever improving Fulham and Villa, whilst City and Watford are a step ahead of the rest.  Ben and Rich seem to be back involved so could be very tight this season.  Third is a possibility, as is 7th.

Nantes, Fluminense and Brighton should all be challenging again to retain titles but will face stiff opposition again, in particular Paris, Santos, Botofogo and Flamengo.

The team that scares me the most?  Charlton without a doubt! Lol

Well, domestically, I think it has to be Gladbach that has been the toughest test for Schalke. They spent most of the season in pole position and did the double against me playing wingers. The first side playing wingers that I actually beat last season was Barcelona in the CL final I think!

I've taken steps to remedy that though (I hope), by training up in WAV, so I can confidently switch tactics in any game.

Expectations? Realistically, the only way is down - having won all four trophies that I contested last season. A bit lucky in places, but you definitely need luck.

I reckon Real Madrid could really shine this season, if Iain is present and correct...

Don't forget when you are trying to sign players that are under 22 they cost no more than £350,000 for home country nationality players, but overseas players can sometimes cost a lot more. 

Players from England, Wales, Scotland, Eire and Northern Ireland are considered home nats for each other.

Well I for one really appreciate the work you put into the game! I'm not sure I cope the week between turns! Feels like months! 

However always worth it when the email comes through! 

Sadly won't be a preview this week as I don't get the fixtures or team details until after the first game. Normal service to resume next turn!!

Personally I don't want to come up against Watford and City. Everyone else is 50/50! But the teams of Watford and city are just too strong! Maybe get them on a off day or too many injuries ?

Youth games are underway...

Good morning everyone.  Just would like to wish all of you all the best for the forthcoming season and Paul for keeping the game interesting and all his hard work.

I expect to see Leicester have a more productive season and at least hold their own in the Championship whilst the rebuild continues.  Feeder club Melbourne will hopefully be there or thereabouts challenging for the Title and a couple of slight changes to Carlisle will hopefully see them challenge for the play offs.

Good, bad or indifferent I'm looking forward to the challenges ahead and also going head to head against my good friend Dave Brothers and Spurs!!

I too would like to thank Paul for his amazing game and his hard work.

I am hoping to see Spurs challenging for automatic promotion. Newcastle and the relegated teams will need watching.

Ruzomberok have only complacency to worry them, I think, this season .

Lazio have the biggest challenge,after promotion. In with the big boys this season!!!! Team building is still ongoing.
