Would have taken the half time result for Botafogo but I suppose a draw is a much more realistic result for Botafogo this season.

Wow, what a week.  Thanks Paul, bit disturbing to hear you keep the missus awake all night but was an entertaining week nevertheless.

Not sure where to start, pretty much as you were in England with the top two steamrolling towards the end of the season and a potential title win for either of them.  The rest of us are fighting the 'third placed' trophy which is the next best thing.  With Charlton and Chelsea fighting out a ridiculous game at The Valley, it was a good week for Villa who gained ground on both and have visions of snatching the trophy away from both come the final day.  Fulham continue to build and will be a real threat next year.  Not sure what is happening at Plymouth but the players seem to be mirroring the manager in going quiet recently?
Positives and negatives at Charlton.  Negative is obviously conceding 4 at home which is really disappointing and should never happen.  Seems I need Virgil Van Dijk to be introduced into the team a lot sooner than I thought....positive is scoring 4, all coming from different players including one apiece for the front three Coutinho, Firmino and Mane.  Things seems to be knitting together nicely there.....worst thing I could do is bring in another forward to disrupt things, even if he is Brazil and Man City's false 9.  Where will he fit in?  Some fans are worried the manager hasn't got a clue what he is doing.....

Nantes gain another great win and continue at the top of the table but with wins for the other teams in the top four there is still only a one point cushion despite only dropping 5 points all season, so this one will go right to the end of the season me thinks.

Brighton get a big win and with it I'm pretty sure comes promotion confirmed, next step is to confirm the title and continue their 100% record which remains intact.

Fluminense. Wow.  Massive, massive win.  The dream continues for another week.  100% record remains intact somehow after visiting the Brazilian giants Santos.  Has the voodoo of Geoff finally been broken?  Disappointed to have gone out of the Libertadores but priorities certainly lied with the league so I guess the result reflected the team selection.  That challenge will have to wait for another year when resources match those of the big boys.

Rather a busy day (for me) yesterday, so I've only just caught up with this weeks results and what a good week it was!!! Spurs through to a European final and holding run away Championship leaders, Man U, to a draw - playoff looking a cert, fingers crossed, and another win for Ruzemberok.

Great game and another great week. I'm fully behind your plans to reduce the size of the game. I will be moving on from Ruzemberok to having my feeder team in a more competitive league next season (any suggestions  ), so the Slovakian league will be unmanaged.

If you wanted an Italian Feeder club you could go for Lazio or Empoli, both likely to be promoted to Serie A for next season, Lazio being the bigger club in real life but Empoli having more honours in the game from the days when they were managed by Rupert Brooks. Other Italian sides include Genoa, Cremonese and Atalanta.

Celta Vigo and Athletic Bilbao are available in Spain.

Germany is now full.

Lille, Bordeaux or Lyon in France.

They are the four most competitive leagues outside of England.
