- How will this affect potential transfers then? Because say a player is transfered between managers and gets reassessed and gets his ptcr downgraded. Then the receiving manager would have to know the potential downgrade? Also how does it affect swap bid. So if we move a 9997 or 9999 to a unmanaged or reality club does there current PTCR get used in the deal or the recreated PTCR ?
transfers between managers wont be affected unless one of the managers has opted in and I have had time to check all his players, in which case I would expect him to tell the other person involved in the deal. swapbids are only done with reality/unmanaged clubs and will use the players PTCR as listed on any scout reports you do before you do the swapbid. Old scout reports may become slightly outdated as a result of this once it gets into full swing. |

| Are reality managed players going to be affected straight away or is it just unmanaged and non league initially? |

the only protected players are at managed clubs, so any player at a reality managed club could potentially be rerated during this process, but it will be a long process and take me many weeks. |

| A little question re something Tom said earlier in the thread:
My understanding has been that PT governs TS, and CR governs current skills attained. Meaning that, say a 9997 player, might have, say, 160 skills but only be able to achieve 140 of them.
But, in the case of Kimmich - he is 9997, has 132ts and is at 132cs, even though his CR is less than his PT...is this because his TS is not over 150?
...am I missing something? |

...am I missing something? No you're not missing anything, and your first statement is correct. But good training regimes ( esp individual ) and regular playing time and playing in a winning team can temporarily boost players into their potentials, until they get dropped or injured or suspended in which case they will drop back down to their cs. |

| The problem with using caps to control PTCR is that it doesn't allow for players being injured or part of the squad and not playing, so I've added an extra field which i'm calling ghost caps for players who were in international squads ( like backup goalkeepers for instance ) but didnt actually win an official cap or were injured and withdrew

| How would you handle a player that just bursts onto the scene? They may not have many caps at yth or u21 level at all, but might now be playing for the national side and regula 1st team top-flight football... |

| Yeah, that's a good point. Mind you, I suppose anyone can go to 9999 if they are that good. On paper, Gabriel Jesus should be a 95CR by the looks of it, though given that he's keeping Aguero out of the city team, I'd say he is an example of someone who should probably go straight in with a 99CR. Well, can of worms opened there maybe, one swallow doesn't make a summer. Was aguero a 99CR when he was banging them in as a 19 year old at Atletico Madrid? Don't think he was. Pretty sure I remember him being a 95CR for quite a while...though I remember Rupert liked to be fairly unenthusiastic about reviewing players cos of the inevitable wage demands that gave his little Empoli a headache, so maybe not a fair comparison lol. |
