| A bit of a delay this week, just got back from a trip to London at the weekend and had nothing but delays and holdups, took 24 hours to travel 250 miles by train and bus, no wonder people don't ever use public transport.
Tomorrow is Tuesday but I'll be out and i'm out again on Friday with family stuff going on at the moment, but I will make a start on running game one and finish it off when I can, maybe in the evenings.
Sorry for the delay. |

| Two away games this week as the tough opening to the season continues.
Away to Watford is arguably one of the hardest trips to make, where the majority of teams will come away with absolutely nothing aside from a hiding. The new attacking approach by Jamie is certainly paying dividends, with a frightening quartet of players forming the front four in a FLY formation. Oh, and the immense Pogba behind them...
Cup game beforehand against a side without a keeper and who had eleven hammered past them last week. Have put a second string out against them whose skills are on the floor, am just hoping that I don't fall foul of another massive cup upset for two years running....you think i'd learn my lesson!!
Nantes away to Lens looking to continue the 100% start to the season. No cup game in France so a strong line-up starts the league game, but still no start for the recently reviewed Anthony Martial.
Would be great to hear other managers thoughts once in a while.... |

| Paul, do you think you could ever be persuaded into looking at introducing a new formation into the game following the arrival of the 'normal one' to these shores, his 'gegenpressing'. Obviously, it is a fairly sparsely used tactic with pretty much only Klopp using it, maybe Rodgers in his 'special season', possibly Barcelona in their prime?
Would it just be similar to the BAR tactic? Is it possible to implement a high intensity pressing game high up the pitch for the first few seconds of losing possession?
Would it be too complicated? |

| I need to beat Fulham and I expect to score a few past his weak defence might let in a few too he has a good attack. Reserves against Stoke in the cup should be a doddle for them. Back to full strength this week with Callum Wilson deserving his place on the bench with Lambert off to Banstead. |

| Geoff, interesting photo you have there, that was just after Bell & Lee were called up to the England team for the World Cup ? might have been the euros, memory is a bit fussy on that point, but I do remember the whole team got a white Ford Cortina each.
Shame Bell and Lee no longer talk to each other following Bell's departure from Maine Road during Lee's chairmanship, just been reading about it in Bell's autobiography, it's a good read if you get the chance. |

| Inter hosting Juve this week for what will be one of many tough games this season. Stronger side out than last week and at home so ........
Villa face Forest twice in League and Cup. As Forest dominated all the meetings last season I am less than hopeful. |

All the big clubs chasing Aubameyang ..... fortunately he's so quick they'll never catch him. |
