This was a fair old ding dong season with last years Champions, Plymouth again in fine form but just falling short this time around as Man City took everybody by surprise with their brand of Inside Forward. The fact that the three chasing teams all ended on 44 points shows just how tight this division is. The other two managed teams, Fulham and Blackburn had vastly differing fortunes, Fulham finding their feet to secure top flight football next season and Blackburn dropping like a stone with just eleven points, surely a rebuild is in order at Ewood Park ?

Championship

These two sides are both very good and will push even more competitiveness into next season's Premiership, Mark said he would be back and he is and Alan has the players to surprise a few of the top sides. Should be interesting.

Playoff places went to Leicester, WestBrom, Westham and yes Wolves, can Wolves make it back to the top flight ?

League One

and the playoff sides are Stoke, Reading, Oldham and QPR all reality managed. So no top spot for Rob but still an impressive season to get promoted and do a major overhaul. sadly Wednesday and Wimbledon both go down, the Dons mainly cos of their managers continued absence and the Owls cos of their complete overhaul, I expect them to bounce straight back.

League Two

Brett's side held on to top spot and go straight back up after a good season for them, can they stay up next season ? only time will tell. Playoff places for unmanaged sides Pompey, Derby, Tranmere & Barnsley.

Another great season for Tom's feeder club as Nantes retain their league title which makes 3 titles in the last 4 seasons for them, a very impressive record. The french managers have to improve their squads if they are going to seriously challenge Nantes next season. Cup Winners Lyon finished a creditable second after their mid season slip but it looks like it may be Ben's last game in charge as he has been offered a lucrative deal to take over at Roma in the Italian league. More details to follow as we have them.

Bundesliga

Schalke take the title after some great management from previous boss Jamie Gardner, who this trophy will be dedicated to, but new boss Andy Le Butt is well capable of continuing Jamie's good work, so dont expect their good run to end any time soon. Last season's Champions, Bayern Munich, suffered due to rebuilding after they lost Klose but should be back onf orm for next season, and as usual Berlin had an excellent season and I would expect that to continue next year.

Eredivisie

Another year another title for Ajax, can anyone stop them ? and only one defeat all year. That is seven titles in the last eight years for Greg's side. And you have to add four cup wins to that trophy haul as well over the same time period.

In the end a comfortable repeat title for Rob's Inter Milan side, a nine point gap speaks volumes. Hopefully the other managers can mount more of a consistent challenge next season. Both Johnny at Milan and Paul at Juve have said they are giving it their undivided attention for next season, and if Roma can tempt Ben to Italy it could be very very interesting next season as Ben is bound to bring a flurry of his top players with him to the Scudetto.

Serie B

A well deserved promotion for Alan's Viola side could see them doing quite well next season although they do need to strengthen a weak defence, although they did only let in four goals all season

The family rivalry ends in triumph for Ivan who retains his title and does the double to boot. That's four doubles on the bounce now for Gornik after dominating Polish football again.

A much closer title race than normal between these reality managed sides but I may have lined up a manager from game two to takeover at Benfica, who are his favorite foreign team, so we shall see.

To be fair I think I was a bit lucky here, Celtic had an awful run of form late on and last season's Champions Inverness and Rangers both did some rebuilding. I went with what I had and added Ronaldinho to the mix to create and take the chances and it just worked a treat. It was great fun as well proving again that it is sometimes a mistake to discard the over 33 players cos they bring great experience to a team. Be interesting to see how the Saints fair without him next season.

La Liga

Matt's Barcelona retain their league title, for the fourth consecutive season, with only one defeat all year with Iain's Real side pushing them all the way, although John's Valencia still need to improve to get closer to the top two, who continue to dominate Spanish football. It was a treble season for Matt as well as his Barca side also won the Copa Del Rey and the World Club Cup earlier in the season.

I was hoping to build Chicago up to challenge Brandon's all conquering New York Cosmos but I dropped the ball about mid season and couldn't then catch up, but next season will be better for Chicago. Galaxy are still relaity managed and still a top side but again not good enough to prevent Brandon his third title in four years and a double to boot.

So a very good season for most of you, some under achieved esp those that needed to rebuild, the next two or three weeks are the time for that really. I have to pick a manager of the season in the next few weeks and if you have any nominations send me a message and I'll take them into consideration. But i'm looking at Geoff and Matt who both had trebles with their main sides, Phil who did an excellent job of keeping Fulham up after it looked like they would go down and Brett who has turned things around at Palace after a horrendous couple of seasons.

 Agree all those managers did a sterling job, but has to be geoff I think. The big treble and unbeaten. Doesn't get much better than that.
