I've just noticed that Man City have signed Fernando Reges from Liverpool for £65million, I was wondering why Liverpool had bought Huddlestone.

Sorry Geoff. I had an initial bid which was too low a couple of weeks ago and I then upped it £4.25m. First scouted him at the end of last season I think and been working out how to get him ever since.

I wouldn't worry too much. Poor little Villa are miles away from the big boys n the Prem. Tom pulls in Walcott and The Ox in one turn, Jamie has ...... actually everybody, Ben has his slick Plymouth with Ozil, Wilshere and Aguero, Geoff is demolishing sides left, right and centre with Dzeko and Milner, Birmingham are basically Fergie's United and even Fulham have Suarez.  

Villa are basically a CF version of Bristol City ...... we're doing OK with the other small teams but we're miles away from the big boys. Struggling to make ends meet etc etc.

Wouldn't be too hard on yourself, pretty confident you could more than hold your own in the Premier League and considering this is your first season in charge, the difference in the side you took over to the one you have now is frightening and that is down to your scouting network and ability to seal a deal.

Seems like Benteke will be starting next season up front for either Liverpool or United, following a £30M move.  Plus you have the best defender in the country in John Terry. 

Incidentally, doesn't it sum up our country when our best defender is not considered for international duty and now our best batsmen is ignored by the national team.

I do not get why they say KP is a bad influence and can't play when they then offer him a consultancy role for the limited overs teams. Surely he's either in or out?? And if he is out why did they give him a glimmer of hope by saying if he batted well he'd get back in if that was never the case. Total mismanagement. Too many 'personalities' too little focus on winning.

As for Terry ..... he seems like a total knob (although that could just be the way the press paint him). However he's by far the best CB in the Premier League and he starts every game. How are we not banging down his door begging him to play for England? He's literally in the form of his life.

For both, it's a job. I don't like some people I work with but I still go in every day (apart from that year of gardening leave). How they can't just get on with it I don't know.
