| Two massive wins this week. Vital to pick up three points against an out of form Newcastle side, especially whilst the other two teams near the top are dropping points. Captain stevie settling the nerves right at the end there.
Huge win in France, especially as I had to play the same eleven in midweek for the Europa game before the league game. Lyon are littered with superstars but managing to hang onto a lead with Borini sealing it in the end was vital to our chase for the title in France.
All eyes on the midweek results now I expect, Nantes face a resurgent Valencia side this week in Europe which could prove a step too far but home advantage is always just that, an advantage, so you never know. Not looking forward to reading the match report as they will have Robben up against my full backs! |

| so all that means that after the draw the semi-finals look like this, all on neutral grounds
Osaka vs Harrisburg New York vs Cosmos
Watford vs Man City Inter Milan vs Barcelona
Ajax vs Ancona AC Milan vs Nantes
Santos vs River Plate Boca vs Sao Paulo
Some big games to look forward to there with Inter versus Barcelona maybe the pick of the bunch. |

| Palace win the race to sign Elie Sesay and Tom Hopper. Hedwiges Maduro moved to Ajax. Leicester take Gary Medel on loan from Lyon. Wayne Hennessey moves to strengthen Wolves. Anderson Luis moves to Man City. Vito Mannone goes on loan to Sampdoria.
But the big transfer news of the week is Charlton's capture of Daniel Agger from Arsenal in a deal said to worth almost £30millions.

| A few questions were raised last week when Man United signed Taison and Douglas Costa when neither have played in England in real-life. But both have been rumoured recently to be joining English clubs, Taison to Chelsea and Douglas to Man United and both players were at managed clubs so they couldn't be trialed but they can still be private deals if they are rumoured to be coming to these shores in recent reports. They cant play in the first team though until they are granted work permits and make their debuts. And both players were on the transfer list. |

| Interesting feature. Good idea, as you take the gamble that they are gonna move in real life. But it could cost you big time if they don't! |

| Well a disappointing week overall, though priority now is to focus on the Premiership. Europe will have to wait till next season... |

| Well i didnt expect that in Europe especially with toure out suspended! Shame Flamengo didn't get through but seems like they did ok only losing 2-1 away still Boca.
Nice and steady in the leagues too, even with a little scare for Barcelona!
Massive semi final against inter now. |

| I think the League is beyond Inter now with a 5 point gap so Europe is the focus. Relieved to beat Will and now .... Matt. Certainly gets no easier. Desperate to see the Euro match report.
Boca had a close run in the Libertadores but given that I've been selling off some top players like Benatia to raise cash it's not too bad. Also gave Aubameyang a game instead of Destro which was probably too much of a risk. |

| OK so my turn didn't get in again. Will and Matt you both had an easy ride this turn as I was still playing the weak domestic cup teams from the turn before.
Will you faced El Shaarawy and Diego Costa instead of Cavani and Higuain and Matt you had a load of youths and reserves in the Boca team. But all's well that gets me to the semi finals. |

| Well it's nice to have a solid quartet of forwards to call upon. Hope Lazar Markovic plays for Benfica tonight as I want to see how he does. Could be the next alternative. |
