You can absolutely do this in the game as well as Villareal played without much width, with only Cani occasionally venturing out wide to make it 3 upfront. Villareal didnt play a target man either to exploit any space.

Chile play with LK CC RK AM but I havent tried that to see how effective it would be in CF as I'm not sure if the AM would cover one of the CB positions in the game, but I'll run a few tests to find out, it may be able to be implemented, but he def uses LK and RK and not CL CC and CR.

Agree in the case of Chile with Guardiola going one step further in playing with 3 CBs and no LK RK I think...?

I shall start the printing and send out the email turns in the morning.

In the game against Villareal Barca didnt use wingbacks, but then Villareal were not a good side and got hammered 5-0 you can do that in the game as well against the not so good sides. But atm you cant do it against the top sides.

Another rubbish as usual week for Watford/Ancona then

4 games no goals!

Can't remember the last time Watford scored!

Chelsea's up down season continues and cant seem to get Suarez scoring at all whereas Cska are doing superbly whixh is a bonus,Could be a tactical resuffle at chelsea i think

Okay there was one standout result this week which came as a bit of a surprise and so I've checked through the match report and it seems that there was a problem with anybody who played 3 centrebacks this week. The problem was that the CL and CR were not tackling in the wider areas when the LK and RK were up field.

Something I changed during the week must have upset the AI.

So because it was such a big problem basically anybody who played 3 CBs was only playing with one in some areas, Ive decided to rerun all the games that were affected.

Huge apologies for this but I think its only fair to the guys who have suffered.

The teams affected are Birmingham, AC Milan, Roma and Parma and their opponents Plymouth, Inter, Chelsea and Man United. Both Parma and Roma drew their league games 0-0 so I wont rerun those games.

So I am going to rerun the league and cup games involving those teams.

What time are you re-running those Paul? Obviously pressure back on in Italy for me now.

Going to do the Brum vs Man U league game first...

I truly hope so.

Ive watched quite a bit of footage last night of the way Barca play at the back when they use 3 CBs and an AM and i'm pretty sure I can incorporate it into CF. They seem to use their wingbacks as the two wide centrebacks with the AM dropping back to play as a fourth defender, usually another CB, when needed, with the central CB almost becoming a sweeper. So i'm going to try and introduce that over the coming weeks, give it some testing and see how it goes in test games, and then if it works well I'll release it into the game.
